Are you thinking about giving the whole Keto "diet" craze a try? If so, first you should know that Keto is a way of eating, NOT a diet. You can have fantastic results with the ketogenic woe (way of eating). I have done Keto for a long time now and can tell you first hand that I have never felt better. I know there are sources out there that say Keto is bad for you and I am sure on some level if you consume nothing but red meat then yes, it can in fact be bad for you. BUT, if you do Keto the right way, it can also be the best thing you have ever done for yourself in your life!
I had a tragic life even and went off of Keto, it was the worst decision I have ever made. My joints began hurting again, my headaches returned, I was tired all of the time and on top of all of that ... I returned to ALMOST my previous weight. All in all, just a terrible year in my life. I have been Keto again for about 3 weeks and I have to say ... THANK GOD! My energy has returned, my leg pain is gone, headaches are few and far between and the best part .... I am already down 12 pounds. Now that I am getting back into my groove I am ready to start testing my ketones again with these ketone testing strips. They help me know when my body is in ketosis and when I should pay more attention to the foods I am eating. I am also going to be adding in my collagen protein blend for anti-aging, hair, skin and nails. The collagen gives me a more of a youthful glow and with 4 kids ... I can use a youthful anything!
Keto alone is great! I love it but you should always consult with your physician before starting any plan. Some physicians aren't crazy about it and others are 100% on board and then you have others who say, sure go for it but they want to monitor you which is awesome! That shows they are open-minded and are willing to try anything that can make you feel better but are still there to keep you healthy and on track. There are also a lot of claims about what apple cider vinegar can do for you and I am contemplating adding an apple cider vinegar supplement to my diet because there is no way I can swallow that stuff pure ... I might just yack!
If you are thinking that it is time to make a change then don't wait! Don't wait for Monday. Don't wait until the 1st of the month! DO IT TODAY!!!! You don't have to change everything and go full on anything you choose right from the start .. all you need to do is make the next choice a good one. And then the next, and the next, and so on. Maybe it's lunch time and you were going to have an unhealthy dinner, well, make a change tonight. Have a more healthy dinner. If there is bread at the table, don't eat it. Chips and dip? Don't eat it. Whatever the villain in your diet is ... just say no. Just this once. And if you are weak and make a bad decision, it's not the end of the world, nobody is perfect. But the one thing you can't do is to do nothing. Love yourself and always know that you are worth it!
